On March 8, 2024, the International Women’s day, we continue to celebrate the feminist vision – for love, for change, for justice – that Mama Cash’s founders manifested 40 years ago when they launched the world’s first international women’s fund. We invite you to our celebration of our growing global community of solidarity with feminist movements working towards a more just world for women, girls, and trans and intersex people.

This year, Mama Cash is celebrating International Women’s Day with our friends and feminist comrades at the Feminist March. Join us in the heart of Amsterdam for a historic gathering – the inaugural Feminist Future Festival. With its theme “Reclaim Your Future”, the Feminist Future Festival is a stirring call for unapologetic, self-led, collective feminist activism in the Netherlands and beyond.

In support of the Festival, Mama Cash & Red Umbrella Fund are sponsoring a sex-worker’s led workshop – “Whoreganizing 101- Solidarity in Strugle” – during which a panel of sex workers will discuss their lived experiences at the intersection of multiple identities and how this informs their activism. The panel will be followed by a workshop for participants to explore how their rights intersect with sex workers’ rights.
