Rural Women’s Assembly (RWA) is a self-led regional network of rural women active in lands rights movement in Southern Africa. RWA builds linkages and strengthens self-organisation of rural women involved in defence of the commons. They also build the visibility of rural women, mobilise and advocate for food sovereignty, climate and environmental justice, and sustainable rural livelihoods. RWA operates in nine countries in Southern Africa: Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
