With Gratitude, We Say Goodbye to Saranel  

Saranel Benjamin will be stepping down from her role as Co-Executive Director of Mama Cash at the end of August 2025. She has accepted an exciting new position as Executive Director of a strategic litigation organisation. As we mark this transition, still committed to a co-leadership structure throughout Mama Cash, we want to take a feminist pace to ensure steady steps forward. While we do that, Happy Mwende Kinyili will continue on to lead Mama Cash.

We are deeply grateful for Saranel’s contributions over the past two and a half years. Her steady presence helped guide the organisation through a complex and shifting external environment. With care and commitment, she supported Mama Cash to build stability and strengthen its foundations. We look forward to seeing the continued impact of her leadership as she begins this new chapter.
