'Together We Are Stronger'

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Panmela Castro created the work ‘Together We Are Stronger’ on the glass façade of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam at the invitation of Mama Cash.

Castro is the founder of Rede NAMI, a feminist network of Brazilian activists and artists who use graffiti to bring women’s rights and violence against women to the attention of a broad audience. With this work, Castro calls attention to the murder of Brazilian activist and politician Marielle Franco on March 14, 2018.
