Resourcing Feminist Activism
From 2016-2018 Mama Cash received 5,470 letters of interest from virtually every corner of the globe. We analysed data from these applications and created a graphic report.
Access to adequate funding and other resources – such as skills, knowledge and networks – are critical for the success of social justice movements. Yet feminist activism remains shamefully under-resourced. Grassroots activists, and particularly marginalised groups or those working on contested issues, often have the greatest difficulty accessing resources to make their work more powerful and sustainable. Here we share resources that address the current state of resourcing for feminist movements and why shifting access to power and resources is crucial for achieving social change and social justice.
