Mama Cash is joining the Women's March, together with other activists for equality in the Netherlands and all over the world! We will join and support the call for equal treatment of women, girls, trans people, the wider LGBTQI community, religious and ethnic minorities and people with disabilities. Date: Saturday January 21st Time: 12.00-15.00 Place: Museumplein. You can identify us by looking out for our pink Mama Cash umbrellas! Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/1105318536252473/ The demonstration follows the inauguration of Donald Trump – as a women’s fund we approach his term with both anxiety and resilience. It is of crucial importance for feminists to let their voices be heard, right now. The upcoming elections in the Netherlands on March 15th make this even more critical. Nicky McIntyre, executive director of Mama Cash:
As feminists we care about more. We want attention for labour rights, environmental justice, and the rights and wellbeing of migrants and refugees.
Join us and others on Saturday January 21st! We will gather at the Museumplein in Amsterdam at 12.00, and you can find us by looking for our pink Mama Cash umbrellas! Because feminist activism works. For those who are not in Amsterdam: Another demonstration takes place in the Hague, at 13.00, at the Malieveld. Facebook event for the Hague: https://www.facebook.com/events/1863191867257552/
