ADDAD is a self-organised group of domestic workers in the cities of Bamako, Kati, Sikasso and San. ADDAD consists of girls, young women, and a few men who have migrated from different part of the country to find employment in the capital and other towns. ADDAD trains domestic workers on human rights and workers’ rights. The group campaigns among employers for enforcement of contracts and raises public awareness to promote the notion that domestic work is work and that working conditions should improve.
